Also, the tatami grain patterned backing produces a smoother, less wrinkled surface than the smooth backed regular Floor Defender Garage Containment Mats.

The Floor Defender Garage containment mats are made out specifically out of extra durable 900 GSM Vinyl fabric that can handle heavy duty use in the environments such as Canada. They are vacuum packed into a compact box for optimal storage and shipping. When the mat is first removed from the box, it is natural for the folds to create wrinkles on the Floor Defender Garage Containment Mats. These wrinkles usually disappear over time as the mat relaxes when deployed on the garage floor.

Heat plays a big roll in relaxing vinyl fabric and colder weather may prolong the relaxation process. We recommend mopping with hot water or using a hair dryer over the wrinkles if you would like to speed up process. However, the wrinkles should not affect the functionality of the mats and will disappear over time.
